Historic Yellow Springs Pathway Garden: October 2023

July 6, 2023: TVGC grew a pop-up garden at Excursion Ciders in Kimberton, PA. Come on out and enjoy the flowers and grasses, many selected because they are native, pollinators, and/or edible. We are hopeful that the display will last through mid-August. If you are interested in finding out what kinds of flowers are in the cans, contact us at our email address. And the cider is amazing! Special thanks to the Herb Society of America for flower donations used in the containers.

The public is welcome to attend this meeting. If you wish to join us, please contact Twin Valleys Garden Club at [email protected] by April 5 so we can be sure to have enough seating.

Designing and Cultivating a Gold Medal Garden

Nicole Juday Rhoads of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) presented to us via Zoom.  We learned about plants recently honored in the PHS Gold Medal Plant program and got ideas about how to use them in our home landscapes.  Gold Medal Plants are selected for excellence in hardiness, disease and pest resistance and ease of growing.
